The passport of the Caribbean state - choose the best for yourself
Caribbean countries annually attract thousands of tourists. This region is deservedly considered an example of heaven on Earth. However, in recent years, the increasing interest among representatives of different countries from around the world is caused not by the tourist value of the region, but by the economic citizenship program.

WHAT IS AN ECONOMIC CITIZENSHIP?

The passport of the Caribbean state

Under the economic citizenship refers to the possibility of buying a passport, that is, citizenship of another country. The purchase in this case is in no way connected with corruption schemes, but has the form of official investment in the country's economy.

It is quite logical to ask: why do investors need Caribbean countries? To come to an understanding of this issue, it is necessary to have a general understanding of these countries. These are island states, whose economy 30-40 years ago was based solely on agriculture. The main subject of trade were spices. The result of this economic situation is a low standard of living, the population was on the verge of poverty.

Attracting investment through the sale of citizenship was the only possible way to develop the economy for these countries. In exchange, foreign citizens are offered favorable taxation conditions. And if initially such a policy caused some difficulties and conflicts with other states, then today all the countries of the Caribbean offering economic citizenship have carried out large-scale reforms and led their tax legislation to international standards. As a result, businessmen leading international business were given the opportunity to acquire Caribbean citizenship and enjoy tax advantages without conflicting with the legislative and regulatory bodies of other countries.

HOW DID SUCH POLICY INFUENCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES?

From lagging poor countries, they turned into powerful tourist centers, which are attractive in every sense - from leisure to business for citizens from all over the world. They boast a developed infrastructure and a high level of security.

HOW TO OBTAIN THE PASSPORT OF CARIBBEAN STATE?

Today, there are five full-fledged programs that allow citizens from all over the world to acquire Caribbean passports and use their benefits accordingly:
  • Antigua and Barbuda;
  • Saint Lucia;
  • Saint Kitts and Nevis;
  • Dominica;
  • Grenada.
It should be noted that a comfortable tax system is far from the only advantage of a Caribbean passport. In addition, if businessmen are primarily interested in attractive terms of taxation, then for other applicants in the first place is the possibility of visa-free visits to more than 120 countries of the world, including European countries.

OPPORTUNITIES OF TRAVELS FOR HOLDERS OF CARIBBEAN PASSPORT

The list of countries available for visa-free visits to Caribbean passport holders is very impressive. The first thing to note is that visa-free Schengen is open to citizens of all of the above-listed Caribbean countries. That is, whichever program you choose, Schengen is yours.

Why is it about choosing? The fact is that, despite the obvious similarity of the existing programs of economic citizenship, they still have some differences. The conditions for the purchase of citizenship and the list of countries available for visa-free visits differ.

As an example, you can give a passport of Grenada. This is the only Caribbean country whose citizens are allowed to enter China without a visa. Therefore, before choosing one of the programs, you should carefully study the conditions of investment and the possibilities of a passport. It all depends on what goals you set yourself. For example, if only business goals are pursued and you are interested in citizenship per person, then the investment programs of Dominica and Saint Lucia look more attractive, and Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis are more likely to choose citizenship for a family of several people.
